Minutes – Desert Woodcrafters Association – October 4, 2008
Alan
Crosby, President, called the meeting to order at 9:12 a.m. at the Raytheon
Woodchippers clubhouse. 24 members and
two guests - John Heath and Kristin Terpening - were in attendance.
Minutes for September 6, 2008 were approved as
published. Motion made by Sam Scalzo,
seconded by Terry Glover.
The 50/50 ($46.00) was won by Marie Roberts.
The Bring Back, Chuck Margeson won the bring-back, a
wood carving made by Dan Williams.
Show & Tell -
14 members participated and Marie Roberts won the drawing.
- Cathy Addison – Turned pens from wood from near Mt.
Etna and Palermo.
- Alan Crosby – Christmas tree ornaments.
- Bob Erickson – Toy car.
- Terry Glover – Turned keepsake box.
- George Lewis – Turned keepsake boxes.

at 9:00, lunch at 12:00.
- Christmas Party – 10:00 December 13. Gifts must be hand-made of wood.
- Christmas toys – Frank needs them by 12/6.

Demo – Sam Scalzo showed us how to make
turned miniature bird houses for Christmas ornaments.
